That\u2019s two hours saved, every single day.<\/em>&#8220;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u2014  <em>Simon, Operations Director, Wyvern Cargo<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading chapter\" id=\"About-Wyvern-Cargo\"><strong>About Wyvern Cargo<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wyvern Cargo\u2019s story is one of longevity, loyalty, and a love of logistics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wyvern Cargo is a Dorset-based transport and warehousing business providing general haulage, pallet network, warehousing and distribution services across the UK. Now in its 50th year, the company operates a 75-strong fleet with nearly 100 trailers, and employs over 130 people- and it\u2019s busier than ever.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With a wealth of customers ranging from food manufacturers to packaging producers and a growing volume of residential deliveries, Wyvern is known for offering a personal service, regardless of order size.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cWhether you send one pallet or 100, we treat every customer the same.\u201d &#8211; Simon, Operations Director, Wyvern&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading chapter\" id=\"How-they-found-Qargo\"><strong>How they found Qargo<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Simon, Wyvern\u2019s Operations Director, first came across <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qargo.com\/platform\/transport-management-system\/\">Qargo <\/a>on LinkedIn. Around the same time, discussions with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qargo.com\/transport-services\/pallet-network-operators\/\">Palletforce<\/a> highlighted a key challenge: the shift from EDIs to APIs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><em>\u201cOur old TMS&nbsp; system couldn\u2019t support the API integration Palletforce required and upgrading it would\u2019ve been hugely expensive. We needed a better option.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">After several in-depth demos with Simon, Wyvern invited their planners to test Qargo.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Their response?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThey walked out saying, \u2018Can I have it tomorrow?\u2019\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe visibility, the speed, the automatic routing\u2026 it was clear we could work so much smarter.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading chapter\" id=\"The-challenge\"><strong>The challenge<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">With their warehouse and fleet at maximum capacity, the team faced a challenge: how could they keep growing, without growing?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Behind the scenes, their legacy TMS was starting to show its limits, especially as Palletforce accelerated its move towards <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qargo.com\/platform\/transport-management-system-integrations\/\">API integrations.<\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Planning was manual. Invoicing was clunky. And visibility,&nbsp; both for the team and customers, was limited.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Key issues included:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Time-consuming job routing and label printing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Manual data entry across planning and invoicing<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Limited customer self-service and real-time updates<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>No automation or API availability to match Palletforce&#8217;s upcoming requests<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">It was clear they had outgrown their legacy TMS.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading chapter\" id=\"The-solution\"><strong>The solution<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Qargo replaced Wyvern\u2019s legacy system with a faster, smarter, and more intuitive platform. \u201cEveryone in the business used our old system, so it meant changing everything,\u201d Simon recalls. \u201cThere were teething problems, but the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qargo.com\/platform\/platform-tms-onboarding\/\">onboarding team <\/a>were brilliant, hands-on, responsive, and got things fixed quickly.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">By week two, most teams were back to full speed. And by the end of month one, they were faster than ever.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Big wins in planning and admin<\/strong><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">One of the most noticeable changes came in the planning teams.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201c<em>We used to have someone manually routing 150\u2013200 pallet jobs a day,\u201d Simon says. \u201cNow so much is&nbsp; automated- he actually got bored!\u201d&nbsp;<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Jobs flow more efficiently, with less room for error. And job status visibility is better. With real-time ETAs and scanning updates, customers no longer need to call for updates &#8211;&nbsp; \u201cnow our customers can see what\u2019s happening with their delivery without having to call. That\u2019s a big deal.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">So their customer service team can resolve issues faster, without needing to chase other departments.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Embracing intelligent features<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Wyvern has also embraced <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qargo.com\/platform\/qargo-intelligence\/\">Qargo\u2019s AI<\/a> particularly for data entry and document management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIt reads customer orders and auto-fills job fields. It\u2019s faster, more accurate, and all the paperwork is attached automatically,\u201d says Simon.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In one instance, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.qargo.com\/platform\/qargo-intelligence\/\">Qargo Intelligence,<\/a> also saved them in a billing dispute as the AI summary backed up their interpretation of a vague customer request &amp; saved the original email to the order task.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The benefits even extend to the warehouse and evening shifts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe used to print piles of paperwork. Now, drivers use the app for everything, ePODs, signatures, photos.
