No trucks of their own, yet a TMS: Freight Forwarder Logibrex Plans and Invoices Using Qargo
“As a flexible freight forwarder, Logibrex organises road transport for large clients in the chemical, automotive, and food sectors. Despite not having their own trucks, Qargo comes in handy for them in terms of planning and invoicing their services,” says Peter Willemen, transport specialist at Logibrex.
One of the main reasons for switching from their previous TMS package, which they only used for invoicing, to Qargo was the ability to work in the cloud, allowing the software to be accessed from anywhere. But the push to take the leap came when a client wanted to start working via EDI. “I wasn’t keen on that with our previous supplier, but it can be done with Qargo,” Peter explains.
The decision was quickly made, and the package was put into use promptly. “Since I manage all the processes myself, from creating orders to invoicing, implementation is quick,” says Peter.
The software is very user-friendly: you can customise everything to fit your process.”

As Logibrex is a freight forwarder and does not manage its own fleet, the application of the TMS looks slightly different compared to traditional transport companies. However, thanks to the flexibility of Qargo, Peter finds it not to be a problem. “The software is very user-friendly: you can customise everything to fit your process. Hiding or adding features is easy, and if something is not yet possible, you can request it. If they find it interesting and if such a feature can be used by multiple clients, they consider implementing it. That feedback is also appreciated.”
Currently, the TMS primarily serves to save time and maintain an overview. “To process orders in the system, I like to use the built-in AI. Those orders are scheduled or chartered to our partners, and we invoice once a month.” Self-billing for some clients is also handled easily and quickly: “They send their list, and based on the data in Qargo, I can easily check and create an invoice that matches what the customer requests.”
Processing invoices 50% faster
The integrated AI has especially saved Peter a lot of time. “Processing incoming invoices and accompanying waybills from subcontractors is now easier. Matching and verifying those documents is about 50% faster than before because the document is partially read, and the program, for example, only shows transports that have been executed.”
“At the Qargo side, adjustments have also been made to make the process even easier for us. Now, at our request, we can also invoice if an order is not yet marked as ‘completed’ – for example, when the loading date falls on the last day of the month, the order can still be invoiced, even if unloading occurs in the new month.”
The communication line is short. You get a quick response, Qargo’s employees are open to ideas and respond quickly.”
Direct communication lines instead of tickets
If there are any questions or requests, the Logibrex team heads straight to the chatbox. “The communication line is short. You get a quick response, Qargo’s employees are open to ideas and respond quickly. Compared to the previous provider, where we had to create a ticket for such matters and wait a long time, this is a very positive development. During the implementation as well, we could rely on Tom’s help through the chat. He was immediately there to provide answers, make adjustments, and show us tips and tricks.”
Thanks to the smooth communication and Qargo’s willingness to act promptly, Peter can now process the administration for clients with slightly more complex pricing systems entirely in Qargo. “For a certain client, the rate depends on either the number of loading meters or the weight, whichever is higher. I used to calculate that myself, but now it is done automatically by Qargo. Tom even made sure that I can create those slightly more complicated price lists myself in the future.”
“Since using Qargo, I work paperless.”
“Actually, I’m just a fan,” concludes Peter. “It’s simple, it feels good, and I enjoy working in the cloud. It saves me time, even though I haven’t used all the functionalities yet. Whereas we used to work more reactively in the past, now I create files in advance and can see at any moment what still needs to be planned. Since Qargo, I’m actually working almost paperless.”
